Cold Rooms for conservation (+0 °C)
A thickness of 80 mm is recommended for the roof and facade of cold rooms intended for food storage or controlled temperatures that do not require high insulation.
Cold Rooms for freezing (-1ºC to -20 °C)
For installations that require controlled temperatures below -10ºC to -20ºC and high insulation, it is recommended to install a cold room panel with a thickness of 100 mm to 140 mm.
Freezing tunnels (-40 °C)
The ideal thickness for cold storage facilities where temperatures below -20ºC need to be maintained, such as laboratories, meat or fish ultra-freezing, among others, is between 150 mm and 200 mm.
Precautions for Cleaning Cold Storage Boards
Don’t Use Hard Chemicals Or Solvents
Harsh chemicals and solvents can damage the outside of sandwich panels and make your cool room less functional. Because of this, it’s best to avoid chemicals and solvents altogether.
Rinse Cool Room Panels With Clean Water From Top To Bottom
As mentioned, thoroughly rinse cold storage boards after using any kind of cleaning product on them. With that being said, often sandwich panels don’t even need anything other than water to rinse off dirty and dust.
Avoid High Pressure Cleaning Of Sandwich Panels
Just like with harsh chemicals, high pressure cleaning, even with just water, can also damage the outside of sandwich panels. If pressure needs to be used to remove stubborn build up, ensure the nozzle is at least 30 cm away from the surface of the sandwich panel and keep the pressure to a minimum.
Don’t Use High Temperature Steam Cleaning
Like high pressure cleaning and chemicals, steam cleaning can also cause damage to cold storage boards. However, lower temperature steam cleaning is usually fine for cleaning cold storage boards.
Clean cold storage boards Frequently
